The project
Countries:
Congo (over 10 sites), CAR, Chad and Nigeria.
Context:
For each of its locations, the customer needs access to the world via Internet.
For its sites across the Congo, its access must be secured, highly stable and manageable from a private hub.
The cost must meet the budget of this international organization.
The solution should provide flexibility to support the changing needs of the Customer.
Customer's needs
-
A high-speed Internet access for 12 locations locked in Congo.
-
A Hub housed in the capital to enable them to oversee and administer the sites.
-
Use these links for Web-based application, messaging, videoconferencing, VoIP.
-
The possibility of making changes in allocation of flows and sites.
Afinis solution
-
A dedicated Hub for the customer in an Afinis’s teleport, solution avoiding UNICEF to invest in an expensive Hub.
-
A dedicated high speed internet access the UNICEF 12 sites, a V-SAT solution with dynamic allocation (TDMA) of bandwidth for better optimization.
-
Remote access to the Afinis teleport to insure the technical manager of UNICEF to monitor events in real time on its network.
-
Supervision 24x7x365 by Casablanca’s NOC.
-
Technical training "administration" for handling the solution.
Results
-
Technical independence from the infrastructure of incumbent operators.
-
High-speed Internet connection in areas with no telecom infrastructure.
-
UNICEF autonomy in the administration of its network and its applications.
-
A more stable platform following implementations and optimizations made by Afinis.
-
Warranty and maintenance of equipment sold or leased by Afinis.
